Join Stonewall, UNMUTED and Finding a Voice for an evening of discussion about the next chapter of LGBT equality campaigning.
This is a chance for LGBT people and allies to discuss how we can all play our part in promoting acceptance for all LGBT people in Birmingham. We’ll hear from Birmingham-based LGBTQI campaign groups UNMUTED and Finding a Voice about their perspectives on some of the challenges they see – particularly for LGBTQI people of colour – and the great work being done.
This is a participatory event, so there’ll be lots of chance to join in the discussion, meet new people and share ideas for how we can make Birmingham an LGBT community that is welcoming of everyone.
It’s also a community event, giving a platform to two prominent organisations in Birmingham that focus particularly on the experience of LGBTQI people of colour and from South Asian communities.
Tickets are free, but limited, and voluntary donations will be collected on the night.
